Save money, create, help others, learn a ton and make amazing goodies. However.. I often get started on something and never finish...... So I'm almost the Whole Package...Stacy@thealmostwholepackagehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18439042222836910095noreply@blogger.comBlogger52125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3158818843022872349.post-65647314747908269302014-07-01T10:58:00.004-07:002014-07-01T10:58:56.577-07:00Kid Songs all the time.....<div style="text-align: center;">
When I was younger and childless my friends and I would break into song when certain phrases were said. It was often Hip Hop or songs from my childhood (Hair Bands). The other day however I was teasing my sister in law and began singing a song. She thought maybe it was a boy band... I let her know it was actually from Doc McStuffins because I pretty much have every single one of the songs from the show memorized.... She told me to get a life... Lol. Disney JR. is my life now. I still listen to grown people music but my head is generally in toddler land.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One of the songs that I enjoy listening to is by Lisa Loeb called Fais dodo. A cute little french lullaby. </div>

I am constantly shocked when I have lived in a city for years and just learn about the history of the town or I drive down a street and see historical sites or businesses I never knew existed. I'm also surprised in the same way when we visit other cities on a regular basis and I've obviously had my head in a paper bag driving through. (or i was napping.... Apparently I'm still a baby because cars put me to sleep)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gae7y21H6KY/U62vC1UhVlI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/qZWaLU-Fu04/s1600/cailfornia20s.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gae7y21H6KY/U62vC1UhVlI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/qZWaLU-Fu04/s1600/cailfornia20s.jpg" height="320" width="260" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We enjoy weekend road trips. We are blessed to live in Northern California and have so many great destinations within 2 or 3 hours from us. There are several places that we visit frequently such as; Napa/Sonoma, Lake Tahoe and San Jose/Santa Cruz. We also visit my hometown in the Bay Area to see family. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f_Rb-PJgzOs/U625sPkd44I/AAAAAAAAA8M/Vhrh3VnoZPU/s1600/20140524_181715.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f_Rb-PJgzOs/U625sPkd44I/AAAAAAAAA8M/Vhrh3VnoZPU/s1600/20140524_181715.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On one trip to my hometown we began discussing a street name and then realized how many parks, streets, schools and buildings named after a particular person: Anthony Chabot. I had lived from birth until age 16 there and never once had I studied, discussed or really heard about this person other than his namesakes.. but there he was everywhere around me. We began discussing this and finally decided on using our smartphones for something actually smart.. Sorry Social Media ... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So we started with Wikipedia. I know that Wikipedia is not always the most accurate but we started there and investigated further historical websites and encyclopedias. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What did we find? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_L7XWsDdVtE/U62lpSa_W3I/AAAAAAAAA7A/mQVKxzkW2UM/s1600/chabotlogo2_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_L7XWsDdVtE/U62lpSa_W3I/AAAAAAAAA7A/mQVKxzkW2UM/s1600/chabotlogo2_500.jpg" height="200" width="148" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YYIAVTbh2iY/U62lrDCmcZI/AAAAAAAAA7I/3BASxtBQSvA/s1600/A_Chabot.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YYIAVTbh2iY/U62lrDCmcZI/AAAAAAAAA7I/3BASxtBQSvA/s1600/A_Chabot.jpg" height="133" width="200" /></a>That all of these places I went to as a kid were named after a man that set up major water infrastructures, damned creeks to make reservoirs, donated to shelters, create veterans housing, created large businesses and even cultivated cranberries. He did so much and we <span style="font-size: large;">NEVER</span> learned about him in school. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So now as we travel we try to learn about cities and sites along the way. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here are some of the things we look up:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Which Native Groups lived here?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Who settled this area for the state? Who originally owned it and how did they gain the land? What/Who are the surrounding cites or county named for? What are those people known for?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PSzYpmBWW7U/U62vYNxHP7I/AAAAAAAAA7g/b7X6C4ZE6-A/s1600/California1883.jpg.w300h344.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PSzYpmBWW7U/U62vYNxHP7I/AAAAAAAAA7g/b7X6C4ZE6-A/s1600/California1883.jpg.w300h344.jpg" height="400" width="348" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What sites can be visited? What missions are nearby? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
How has the town changed over the years? Where is the original downtown? What were the older buildings originally used for?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There is so much more you can look into.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here is a cheat sheet to start with your family. It gives them some questions to work through and ideas for places to explore when they are done. It can be used on road trips to entertain the kids or to check out your town and keep them entertained for free. </div>

My Son turned 1 a few months ago and while trying to decide a theme for the party we thought we should listen to him... Since he called everything a GOGGIE!!! we figured a puppy party would be the most fun.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My SIL was awesome and helped make some of the great treats and decorations</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

A While back I had the oppourtunity to plan an office bridal shower for a co worker. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My theme for the party was purple and burlap. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P_JXH8asoGw/UemrDehLIEI/AAAAAAAAA3c/n6d5-zUJlbo/s1600/20130423_125859.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P_JXH8asoGw/UemrDehLIEI/AAAAAAAAA3c/n6d5-zUJlbo/s640/20130423_125859.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was my attempt to cover the ceiling fan : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KjEz_T8CLNY/UemrICJs9WI/AAAAAAAAA3k/NXn4TgQ1mK4/s1600/20130423_125904.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KjEz_T8CLNY/UemrICJs9WI/AAAAAAAAA3k/NXn4TgQ1mK4/s640/20130423_125904.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got some super cute Mickey mouse sugar cookies from the bakery that made the cake and put them in organza bags for the party favors along with bath bombs made by a co workers daughter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8BZoTyETZwM/Uemq68MzaBI/AAAAAAAAA3I/yfHIJelss6Q/s1600/20130423_125850.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8BZoTyETZwM/Uemq68MzaBI/AAAAAAAAA3I/yfHIJelss6Q/s640/20130423_125850.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We had quite the spread. Artichoke Parmesan tartlets, finger sandwiches, spinach salad, fresh fruit, procuttio wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates, asparagus bread sticks and delicious sweet pasta salads in jars. Super quick flower arrangement using silk flowers, square vase, glass beads and floral foam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iWDVjxH3KxM/Uemq1XoKA_I/AAAAAAAAA3A/TNLkQEPRSMA/s1600/20130422_175535.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iWDVjxH3KxM/Uemq1XoKA_I/AAAAAAAAA3A/TNLkQEPRSMA/s640/20130422_175535.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wasn't this a cute Cake?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MNVES-rxELo/Uemq_avObbI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/E5fszUFr9nY/s1600/20130423_125855.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MNVES-rxELo/Uemq_avObbI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/E5fszUFr9nY/s640/20130423_125855.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I wanted something to match the theme and colors so I made my own banner. It is a quick project but I think it brought the whole look together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZGJB7GsVmaI/Uemrpx2qS3I/AAAAAAAAA4M/0xOlzsmVU0A/s1600/20130412_221513.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZGJB7GsVmaI/Uemrpx2qS3I/AAAAAAAAA4M/0xOlzsmVU0A/s640/20130412_221513.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I bought my supplies at my local hobby lobby. just glitter, mod podge and pre cut burlap pennents. I mixed 2 colors of glitter to get the shade I wanted.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZWdxnkDuA04/UemriyCXLdI/AAAAAAAAA4E/4a2zcwA1T1A/s1600/20130412_221711.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZWdxnkDuA04/UemriyCXLdI/AAAAAAAAA4E/4a2zcwA1T1A/s640/20130412_221711.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then painted the letter on the burlap with the mod podge </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N5RHKszuG8c/UemrbsZ-lbI/AAAAAAAAA38/rsIGy7oyiZk/s1600/20130412_221846.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N5RHKszuG8c/UemrbsZ-lbI/AAAAAAAAA38/rsIGy7oyiZk/s640/20130412_221846.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
cover with glitter and then shake around to cover.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I glued each piece to some ribbon and strung it up. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Like I said Super quick! </div>

I had a friend when I was little that invited me to Vacation Bible School. I had only really ever gone to my own church activities so this was fun to visit another church. I don't remember a ton.. Just tracing my body to make a lifesize cutout.. It had something to do with Jesus.. and then singing about Jesus... and some other things about Jesus. Which is similar to my church... but then we made these delicious Honey Peanut Butter balls.. which also somehow related to Jesus.. don't remember how...... but for years I remembered these treats but had lost the reciepe.<br />
<br />
Thankfully with the invention of recipe sites I as an adult was able to look it up and make them at my house : )<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.grouprecipes.com/21107/honey-peanut-butter-balls.html" target="_blank">Here</a> is a link to the recipe:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li class="">2 cups dry powdered milk (adjust based on the amount of honey</li>
<li class="">1 cup Peanut Butter<a class="ingredient" href="http://www.grouprecipes.com/21107/honey-peanut-butter-balls.html#"></a>
</li>
<li class="">1/2-1 cup Honey</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="section">
<hr />
</h4>
<ul class="instructions">
<li>Mix all ingredients well until stiff enough to shape.</li>
<li>Form in balls about the size of a walnut.</li>
<li>Chill well for 2 - 4 hours.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div dir="ltr">
I've shared our previous experience with <a href="http://houseparty.com/">HOUSEPARTY.COM</a> <a href="http://thealmostwholepackage.blogspot.com/2011/06/yes-you-can-house-party.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">HERE.</a> If you haven't had the chance to check it out you should. It gives you the opportunity to host a group of your friends in your home and share a product with them. You share info about your party on their website as well as your social media. In return you get a party pack of items to host your party and try out.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
The party that we had the opportunity to host last week was for one of our favorite shows Duck Dynasty. If you haven't checked it out it is on A&E Wednesday nights. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div dir="ltr">
Invites were sent out through the house party website. We sent our guests invites with<u> </u>the instructions to BYOB (bring your own beard) and favorite redneck snack.</div>
<div dir="ltr">

<div dir="ltr">
Our guests really got into it.<u> </u>Some of them had never seen the show but quickly got into it and how funny it is!</div>

The baby even joined in and wore camo! He enjoyed the cut out of Jase.<br />
<br />
<br />
Our party pack included Trivia Cards, Recipes, Cut out masks of the main characters, a bandana, t shirt, cups and coasters. We gave out candy for correctly answering the trivia questions and the t shirt for guessing how many times the family said HEY in one episode. (you have to watch to understand)<br />
We also gave away a "duck call" I think she liked it! <br />

Our food spread was Tator Tot Casserole, Pigs in a blanket, pizza, jalapeno poppers, lil smokie/potato skewer, clam dip, hand pies and donuts. We were all very very very stuffed after the ridiculous amount we ate!<br />

<div dir="ltr">
Sheryl at Lady Behind the Curtain has started a fun monthly challenge for fellow bloggers. She gives us 2 ingredients for the month and we have to create a dessert using both. This month was Chocolate and Cherries. For some reason while I was plotting out my recipe my mind kept going back to the leftover potato chips at my house and how my mom used to make chocolate covered Pringles for Christmas. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-SGyWs8TPTDs/URyTQtDoFpI/AAAAAAAAAvw/sO5OBTQTDoc/20130213_182201.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-SGyWs8TPTDs/URyTQtDoFpI/AAAAAAAAAvw/sO5OBTQTDoc/20130213_182201.png" /></a></div>
Since I love sweet and salty I thought of a yummy snack that can be enjoyed after dinner.. preferably during a movie... :-)</div>
<div dir="ltr">
I call it the Chocolate Cherry Junk Mix</div>
<div dir="ltr">
So the recipe is simple.. there really isn't one. Change this to your desired ingredients and amounts.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br />
2 handfuls of crunched up ridged potato chips<br />
1/3 cup pistachios<br />
1/3 cup dried cherries or cran-cherries<br />
1/4 bag semi sweet chocolate chips melted</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Add dry ingredients to a bowl & drizzle chocolate over. Mix together until all ingredients have a light coating of chocolate on them.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Have fun with this and use whatever is in your pantry :-)</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Oh yeah.. check out the other awesome recipes in the link.</div>

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
I met a sweet lady (I kick myself for not getting her name) at the grocery store last week. She saw my couponing binder and commented on how organized I was. I told her not really... but she told me all of hers were in a drawer and expired.. so I guess I had her beat. I haven't been very good about couponing since pregnancy and baby. But I still love the idea and sharing the info that I have gathered to help others save money. I Love saving people money.. It gets me all excited... I get in trouble at Michael's for handing out coupons...</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
People have asked me when I talk about coupons. "So you're like those people on extreme couponing" no ... not even close..</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<ol style="text-align: center;">
<li>I do not have 30-60 hours a week to dedicate to clipping, sorting, scouting and shopping. I've got a J O B and a family and a million other things to do.</li>
<li>I only buy ONE newspaper and use coupons that come in the mail and print a few. No dumpster diving here or purchasing stacks of paper or buying coupons.</li>
<li>I do not have a giant stockpile. I gather items as I can. I have a closet that is organized for a few toiletry stockpile items. I don't buy more than my family or my friends can use. I also don't buy items I don't need.</li>
<li>
Some weeks I coupon some weeks I don't. I buy things with no coupons too. I am not going to force my family to use things they hate just because they were cheap.</li>
<li>I DON'T do more than 3 transactions.. I'm sorry.. they don't feel like ringing up 24 transactions and the people behind you don't feel like waiting... seriously.. </li>
</ol>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
Now this is not to say these other couponers are necessarily wrong .. this is what I do and what works for me. </div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
So the following is a quick.. non planned trip to CVS the other day. Now I know I could have gotten more stuff maybe even spent less money but honestly.. I got things I wanted or needed for less than I would have paid elsewhere. I didn't need some of these products right that second but I will. So now I have them ready and I won't have to run out and pay full price to get them. Are they exactly the brand I would normally gravitate to? Not necessarily but they are good enough. </div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
So now.. I am going to share my items, how i use coupons and sales together to get them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="300" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-SfRtAj5xsCc/URVLx5TTEMI/AAAAAAAAAvc/JeO7V66gEnY/20130202_120816.png" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The biggest thing is to get circulars from the store.. Compare them to the coupons that you have and purchase when you can get things at a very reduced or even free amount.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I shopped at CVS this day. It is my favorite drug store to get my toiletries at. Everyone has their fav. just find yours. Because I shop there. I get a weekly coupon and I incur quarterly $ back.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The way that their program works for immediate rebates is called Extra Care Bucks. If you buy an amount of product they have advertized they will give you x amount of dollars back. This comes in the form of a pull off at the end of your receipt. You get that dollar amount off on the next transaction you wish to use it on...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here is how my trip started. I immediately walked in and scanned my extra care card at the machine.. TWICE. You can almost always get extra coupons if you scan twice.. so do it...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I got $2.50 from my quarterly rewards. I also got a coupon for $1 if you purchased 4 Gatorade or Sobe Life Water, $3 off $12 cosmetic purchase, $2.50 off a razor purchase of $15, $2 off 2 Pantene products, $3 off 2 Tresemme products.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then paired these CVS only coupons with My Manufacturers coupons (the ones from the newspaper) this is called stacking. Meaning you use different types of coupons on the same product.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

My personal Christmas Tree is a mishmosh of handed down, Bought for novelty, trip finds, and clearanced ornaments. It is not the most glamorous tree but it is definitely full of beautiful memories. But as much as I love itI have always secretly wanted another tree that looked like the ones in the catalog or department stores..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I work in a lovely office that we enjoy decorating for most of the holidays through out the year. I cannot take credit for the purchases of decorations. But, for the last few years I have been the one to organize and decorate for the holidays. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are a few tips for creating a tree like a pro!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y4xqPHVkO_E/ULj1VI147KI/AAAAAAAAAoo/0vfbSiVVZmo/s1600/20121127_131122.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y4xqPHVkO_E/ULj1VI147KI/AAAAAAAAAoo/0vfbSiVVZmo/s640/20121127_131122.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1) PICK A COLOR SCHEME. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This does not mean you have to buy all ornaments that are the same color, shape or size. Our scheme is cream and green. There are various shades, sizes and textures within that. I even threw in a little gold.. Close enough..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-koqT556jJi4/ULj9nphledI/AAAAAAAAAp0/T85YrmfDqoI/s1600/20121130_103951.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-koqT556jJi4/ULj9nphledI/AAAAAAAAAp0/T85YrmfDqoI/s320/20121130_103951.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2)USE FILLERS</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is especially helpful with artificial trees that have a lot of open spots.. Here I used silk hydrangeas it fits in with the color scheme and makes the tree look more plush and full.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3) PICK AN ACCENT COLOR</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here I added a few bulbs of a deep eggplant purple. It gives a few pops throughout the tree.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6gUYBU7kTiY/ULj9ui41uJI/AAAAAAAAAp8/5uM_FBg-MWk/s1600/20121130_103941.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6gUYBU7kTiY/ULj9ui41uJI/AAAAAAAAAp8/5uM_FBg-MWk/s640/20121130_103941.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4) PUSH YOUR ORNAMENTS AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This makes it appear that they are part of the tree and not just hanging on it. You may have to hang them on 2 branches to make this work.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5) REPEAT TYPES OF ORNAMENTS</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Try to have 3 to 5 of the same ornaments scattered in different areas throughout the tree for cohesion. Don't put them all together... Then you just look unorganized : )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
6)ADD A SURPRISE ELEMENT. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is a crazy little elf.. He gives the tree some life. and some grinchiness for that matter : )</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cI2oSuHcXow/ULj93FOl3hI/AAAAAAAAAqE/BsPnbOD9Q88/s1600/20121130_103924.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cI2oSuHcXow/ULj93FOl3hI/AAAAAAAAAqE/BsPnbOD9Q88/s320/20121130_103924.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
7) STEP BACK</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
make sure you step back and take a peak at your tree from multiple angles. Add in more where you need to or adjust some that are already on. Things can look great up close but the whole picture is a different story. Make sure the tree looks good everywhere and make sure ALL areas look good. You don't want to walk in from a different room and see weirdness.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sIoNaG_4aPY/ULj2cv7nh_I/AAAAAAAAApU/cTsikxQt44k/s1600/20121130_100919.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-sIoNaG_4aPY/ULj2cv7nh_I/AAAAAAAAApU/cTsikxQt44k/s640/20121130_100919.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
8) know when to hold them, know when to fold them, KNOW WHEN TO WALK AWAY</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overdecorating is one of the worst things you can do. If someone can't even tell its a tree... Too much. If it looks like Santa himself threw up decorations on your tree.. Too much... If you used 12 Rubbermaid tubs on a 4' tree... Too much... Edit where you need to.. You should see some green people.. it is a tree... Good grief!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIfdTK1kO4k/ULj1bR-_htI/AAAAAAAAAow/vhnHVLU0QyA/s1600/20121127_131113.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIfdTK1kO4k/ULj1bR-_htI/AAAAAAAAAow/vhnHVLU0QyA/s640/20121127_131113.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Most of all enjoy yourself and your creation..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WnticmIZZIA/ULj1vdN-viI/AAAAAAAAApM/3TOzrbFtCdk/s1600/20121127_074415.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WnticmIZZIA/ULj1vdN-viI/AAAAAAAAApM/3TOzrbFtCdk/s640/20121127_074415.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>

The Station at work has been playing Christmas music since November 1st.. And I've been ticked about it. Give the Turkey some respect people.... </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now that being said.. I play music when I put little man to sleep and there is a song on a Disney CD that I absolutely love called My Gift Is You. It is a Christmas song but... The Lyrics make me think about my family and all that I am Grateful for. Sooo here is my rationalization for doing a Christmas Printable <i>at Thanksgiving</i>....LOL..</div>

Here are All of the Lyrics and the Printable is the 1st verse.</div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
My Gift is You</h2>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Words and Music by Gary Powell</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Woman-Verse 1</u><br />
I love a gift wrapped in red, a gift under the tree<br />
When the lights blink only for you and for me<br />
But what I like most and what most rings true<br />
Is the way I feel knowing that my gift is you.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Man</u><br />
We sip the hot chocolate and we sing “Noel”<br />
Whether first or the second Noel, we won’t tell<br />
I know that I’m tardy and long overdue<br />
In telling my true love that my gift is you</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Both-Chorus 1</u><br />
All that we hold in each other’s heart<br />
Is the hope that each Christmas we won’t be apart<br />
So, our stockings are hung and from my point of view<br />
We’re here with each other, and my gift is you</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Man-Verse 2</u><br />
We hold in our hands what we love the most</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Woman</u><br />
We hold in our hearts where others just boast</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Both</u><br />
But what I like most and what most rings true<br />
Is the way I feel knowing that my gift is you.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Both-Chorus 2</u><br />
All that we hold in each other’s heart<br />
Is the hope that each Christmas we won’t be apart<br />
So, our stockings are hung and from my point of view<br />
We’re here with each other, and my gift is you</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Woman-Verse 3</u><br />
I love a gift wrapped by you, a gift under the tree<br />
When the snow falls lightly for you and for me<br />
But what I like most and what most rings true<br />
Is the way I feel knowing that my gift is you.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Man</u><br />
We sip apple cider, we sing “Deck the Halls”<br />
We’ve trimmed the tree now and even some of the walls<br />
But you know I am here now and though overdue<br />
I will tell you my true love that my gift is ….</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Both-Chorus 3</u><br />
All that we hold in each other’s heart<br />
is the hope that each Christmas we won’t be apart<br />
But what I like most and what most rings true<br />
Is the way I feel knowing ….</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Tag</u><br />
This is the way…<br />
The way I feel knowing that my gift<br />
My gift, my gift is you</div>

Ok.. Before you go thinking I'm turning Vegan or I'm trying to healthify my cake... Just know this ended up being eggless because I was eggless and I wasn't going to take a baby out at 9pm to get some. So.. Thanks to google.. I found an alternative. I thought this was kinda crazy but it works.!! I needed 3 eggs so the substitution was 1 tablespoon of baking soda to 3 tablespoons of vinegar.. I know.. It sounds yuck right? It totally isn't and it works!!! I am so excited about this because how often do you not have the right ingredients.. and I should be limiting the calories in my dessert... So... I may have to do this more often....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HYZBjX0daWI/UJfnZooA44I/AAAAAAAAAmU/n4Jbjs3FRzU/s1600/20121104_105835.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HYZBjX0daWI/UJfnZooA44I/AAAAAAAAAmU/n4Jbjs3FRzU/s400/20121104_105835.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Recipe is as follows..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist White Cake</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3 TBS Vinegar and 1 TBS baking soda ( mix these together <span style="color: blue;">separately</span> and then add to the cake mix)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/4 cup sprite </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup oil</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 mashed banana</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2-1 teaspoon of almond extract (i used an emulsion) depending on your taste</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sxqJJHOucuE/UJfnj21j6OI/AAAAAAAAAmo/Ctljiy9sAAM/s1600/20121025_210829.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sxqJJHOucuE/UJfnj21j6OI/AAAAAAAAAmo/Ctljiy9sAAM/s400/20121025_210829.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Mix all ingredients together, they will be very thick but fluffy. Bake for 20-25 mins @ 350. Cake will brown quickly but make sure it is firm (not overcooked) before removing. Cake will pull away from the sides of the pan as it cools.</div>

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a party for the new Graco Snugride Click Connect 40. The Party was hosted by Fran in her amazingly beautiful home. Through t<a href="http://www.thesitsgirls.com/" target="_blank">he SITS girls</a> She was such a lovely inviting woman. It was very easy to be comfortable there. Our Awesome Host had yummy Hor d'oeuvres, drinks and cupcakes. In the words of my husbands friend.... The Caramel Apple Cake Pops were smackin! .</div>

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to talk to other mom bloggers and see some of our kiddos interact. Thankfully Fran had a photographer there because when I went back to look at the pictures I took .......my son had tried to help a few too many times and they all came out blurry.. Note to self.. Set down the baby before pictures : P Green Vintage Photography. Her pic's were beautiful! Fran took the time to show us about the seat and all of it's amazing features. The American Academy of Pediatric has changed it's recommendations to keep kiddos rear facing until 2 years old. This awesome seat will allow you to transition from a brand new baby all the way up to a 2 year old. It has a quick release and even a foot plate for older kids so they are not banging on your seat with their shoes. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She showed us the removable inserts so that it can fit the tiniest and the largest of babies. It also has 8!! different reclining positions for comfort and growth. She also showed us how easily the seat snaps in and out of the base ! You know that is a necessity! It comes in 2 color choices: Moonstruck (neutral) and Mina (pink). Here is a great <span style="color: blue;"><a href="http://Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40_Fact Sheet_FINAL" target="_blank">PDF</a> </span>with all of the specifics.</div>

The <a href="http://bit.ly/T1cjWg">Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40</a>
– the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually
grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The
car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be
easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is
small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your
infant in and out of the car without disturbing them. <br />
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation
to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco
set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing
longer while still keeping them comfortable. <br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">1/2 cup butter
<br />1/2 cup peanut butter

<br />1/2 cup brown sugar
<br />1 egg
</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">1/8 cup banana cream jello pudding powder (the banana flavor is pretty subtle. So you can add more if you like)<br />1 teaspoon vanilla
<br />1 1/4 cups flour
<br />3/4 teaspoon baking soda
<br />1/4 teaspoon salt</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Allow to cool completely. </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Melt remaining chocolate chips and use to coat the backs of the cookies.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> When you don't allow them to cool completely then they break when you go to coat them. Then I had do eat it. DARN YOU COOKIE! I just used the back of a spoon to coat the cookie back.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

There has to be a better name..<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
I've told you before ... I'm one of those crafters that has grandiose ideas of these amazing projects I am going to do... and then.. reality kicks in..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
I'm sure I'm not the only one who buys beautiful fabric and never uses it.. I'm not sure what makes me think I'm really going to make a quilt...</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7Os6z6Xls-U/UCp1el3zqKI/AAAAAAAAAhc/t5X6pUWDa5A/s1600/DSC00206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7Os6z6Xls-U/UCp1el3zqKI/AAAAAAAAAhc/t5X6pUWDa5A/s320/DSC00206.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
So my crafting abilities are even more diminished now because I often have to do things one handed when little man feels like being held. (Did I tell you how cute my kid is... I digress)</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
SO what to do using my extra fabric that I can do quickly and at times with one hand? Make an adorable Hanging Wreath Ball!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PY1PGyrCaXQ/UCqAQenpAwI/AAAAAAAAAks/8AZOWKZsA38/s1600/DSC00230.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PY1PGyrCaXQ/UCqAQenpAwI/AAAAAAAAAks/8AZOWKZsA38/s320/DSC00230.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Begin with a Styrofoam ball of any size. Just keep in mind you need a good amount of fabric so the bigger the ball the more fabric...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LU-dMHWczxM/UCp2V6rYrgI/AAAAAAAAAhk/EFVusUCsImM/s1600/DSC00209.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LU-dMHWczxM/UCp2V6rYrgI/AAAAAAAAAhk/EFVusUCsImM/s320/DSC00209.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
I used a 4in Styrofoam ball that I think I got at Walmart but any craft store should carry. I also cut a bunch of 2 in squares of my scrap fabric ( approx 7 coordinating colors). You can also do all one color or just a few. There is no right or wrong way to do this. I left mine with a ragged edge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aWmfQbmBKC8/UCp2qrfxGfI/AAAAAAAAAh4/JhuiwBDxYcg/s1600/DSC00212.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aWmfQbmBKC8/UCp2qrfxGfI/AAAAAAAAAh4/JhuiwBDxYcg/s320/DSC00212.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Here is the really fancy tool i used.. a lollipop stick... I had some in my baking kit. You can use anything that is smallish and has a dull end.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DqaNq37kCKA/UCp35h2XgSI/AAAAAAAAAiM/4GVHl0jx4JQ/s1600/DSC00216.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DqaNq37kCKA/UCp35h2XgSI/AAAAAAAAAiM/4GVHl0jx4JQ/s320/DSC00216.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
You take a piece of fabric and push dead center with your stick into the fabric and ball. The fabric sucks in and becomes part of the ball. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Gi1VUr-IERo/UCp4EqgAfyI/AAAAAAAAAiY/1sFNrVNockQ/s1600/DSC00217.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Gi1VUr-IERo/UCp4EqgAfyI/AAAAAAAAAiY/1sFNrVNockQ/s320/DSC00217.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Place each piece of fabric very closely to the last one to keep it tight and filled in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oYM0Xczc4iY/UCp4vRHM8hI/AAAAAAAAAjA/3LuNq7sSftk/s1600/DSC00221.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oYM0Xczc4iY/UCp4vRHM8hI/AAAAAAAAAjA/3LuNq7sSftk/s320/DSC00221.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Continue around the entire ball until it is covered. Try to alternate the different colors around the ball.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/---1uqTXL_Ak/UCp5EX-AFLI/AAAAAAAAAjU/ESS40p099rM/s1600/DSC00223.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/---1uqTXL_Ak/UCp5EX-AFLI/AAAAAAAAAjU/ESS40p099rM/s320/DSC00223.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hiv39eTf0Oo/UCp5PUkUdYI/AAAAAAAAAjc/xt2Z-yDfUME/s1600/DSC00224.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hiv39eTf0Oo/UCp5PUkUdYI/AAAAAAAAAjc/xt2Z-yDfUME/s320/DSC00224.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Yes... I was sitting on my bed doing this.. </div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
Then cut a piece of ribbon to the desired length to hang your ball with. I pinned mine to make sure I liked the length and then glued it into place. You do not have to hang them. They can also be placed in a bowl on a table.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JM3LXf0E-2k/UCp5aHktiYI/AAAAAAAAAjo/4yZIouenpJQ/s1600/DSC00229.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JM3LXf0E-2k/UCp5aHktiYI/AAAAAAAAAjo/4yZIouenpJQ/s320/DSC00229.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
The fun part of this craft is that you can make them to fit any color scheme or holiday you want.</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YUs9aY0pkhw/UCp55q5pG8I/AAAAAAAAAkE/knMyYqrLUlk/s1600/DSC00232.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YUs9aY0pkhw/UCp55q5pG8I/AAAAAAAAAkE/knMyYqrLUlk/s400/DSC00232.jpg" width="300" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: center;">
I learned this technique as a kid buy making circle wreaths. You can do this with any size/style of Styrofoam. </div>

I thought it was about time to get back into the swing of things. I announced last year that I was expecting my first child. <a href="http://thealmostwholepackage.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html" target="_blank">HERE</a> I didn't realize even though I had an easy pregnancy and delivery how much energy growing a human takes. So alas, my free moments before the baby were spent resting and my time since has been feeding and caring for an adorable little man.<br />
<br />
I have been thinking a lot during my time feeding my little nugget and at night before bed about the interesting comments people make when you have children. It seems as though everyone has an opinion, experience or frustration they wish to share. I'm enamored with listening to people talk about how much they love their children young and very old. I'm also surprised by the negativity that comes out of some peoples mouths about their children. I'm grateful that I read the blog here at the <a href="http://katiewetherbee.wordpress.com/2012/02/06/joy-or-just-wait/" target="_blank"> Diving for Pearls Blog</a>. She has so many wonderful thoughts on the beauty of children growing up and your joy as a parent watching and being a part of it.<br />
<br />
I've only been a mama for 4 months so I know that there will be times in
the future that I will pull my hair out, my kids will get on my nerves
and I will need a vacation. But right now I am trying to savor every
second that I can from this blessing in my life.<br />
<br />
Do I miss sleeping without interruption? Do I tire of the flab that has taken over my body? Do I secretly fantasize about getting in my car and doing anything I want for just 2 hours? Do I wish that I could prepare and eat a meal without someone demanding to be fed first? Of course, and anyone that says otherwise is lying.<br />
<br />
But, I will tell you in the scheme of things none of that really matters. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KVPObiv6AOU/UACekHhacuI/AAAAAAAAAgM/c2n_oI7fIKw/s1600/scan0026.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="194" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KVPObiv6AOU/UACekHhacuI/AAAAAAAAAgM/c2n_oI7fIKw/s320/scan0026.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
None of those things can quite compare to growing and giving birth to a tiny little human that has characteristics of both you and your husband. ( Adopting in my opinion is just as amazing.. You may not physically create the baby but preparing your home to love and nurture a beautiful child and to give it the love and life another cannot is a miracle)<br />
<br />
It is a beautiful and heartwarming sound to hear your child laugh and coo. To see them smile at you when they're half asleep or when they see you across the room. To see them get startled and look to you for comfort and assurance that they are safe. And once they see you're OK that is all they need to know. It is so entertaining to watch them laugh at you when you make weird sounds or expressions or blow in their faces.<br />
<br />
There is nothing quite as sexy as seeing your big ol husband pick out onesies and blankie for or change diapers on a tiny little baby. Or when you hear him make up ridiculous songs to sing to your upset child to make him feel better. And this new found tag team partnership and unspoken appreciation for each other after experiencing such intense excitement and love following giving birth.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pf9VOykYbQ0/UACf7OhttyI/AAAAAAAAAgU/wvVNciALF9E/s1600/scan0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pf9VOykYbQ0/UACf7OhttyI/AAAAAAAAAgU/wvVNciALF9E/s320/scan0007.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I marvel at the joy that this little face brings perfect strangers when they see him at he flirts back. How amazing it is to see the impact of a little spirit on the world. And what a great reminder that we all started out so small and precious. My interactions with others have been permanently altered because now I think of everyone as someone else's baby.<br />
<br />
Just the thought of this beautiful little boy growing into a great man brings me to tears for two reasons. Firstly, that means that he will not always be this precious little baby and secondly, that he will have this amazing life he gets to live.<br />
<br />
The best thing a person has said to him was this; "Welcome to the world little man. You are going to have so many awesome experiences"<br />
<br />
I thank my Heavenly Father everyday that I get to be with him for some of those experiences and more importantly that I get to be the Mom he runs home to tell about the good and bad.<br />
<br />
My goal is to never take for granted this precious gift and I pray that I can be the mother that he needs. <br />
<br />
I love this quote and wanted to share it with all of you.<br />

Here is a copy for you to print out for your home. Now go kiss your babies of all ages : )<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Pour 3/4 of the bag into the vase. Pour candy corn over the top. Take an appropriately colored ribbon. This reminds me of Chopped which is one of my favorite shows! After discussing with super smart (and very handsome) hubby he suggested Caramel Apple Nachos..... How can you go wrong with that?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v8rV8wtjyRo/Tp-iff5OWYI/AAAAAAAAAcI/oC9LZwORxss/s1600/2011-10-19+21.15.25.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v8rV8wtjyRo/Tp-iff5OWYI/AAAAAAAAAcI/oC9LZwORxss/s320/2011-10-19+21.15.25.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z0hrvFTr2XI/Tp-iXOS0-MI/AAAAAAAAAcA/rMPS7uyIlrg/s1600/2011-10-19+21.15.35.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fxxoHR6PUFg/Tp-ip5bcPzI/AAAAAAAAAco/FCtxazSOt-Y/s1600/2011-10-19+20.49.47.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fxxoHR6PUFg/Tp-ip5bcPzI/AAAAAAAAAco/FCtxazSOt-Y/s320/2011-10-19+20.49.47.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I started by cutting 2 flour tortillas into 8 triangles each. I chose to fry them to create a chip but feel free to bake them also. After removing from oil I immediately tossed into cinnamon sugar to coat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t6WW6lKec4k/Tp-iooopNhI/AAAAAAAAAcg/TFzD5r2WbW8/s1600/2011-10-19+20.56.37.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t6WW6lKec4k/Tp-iooopNhI/AAAAAAAAAcg/TFzD5r2WbW8/s320/2011-10-19+20.56.37.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Next I chopped one granny smith apple into small cubes. I sauteed the apples in 1TB of butter and generous sprinkling of the remaining cinnamon sugar. Cook until tender. After turning off the heat pour in several spoonfuls of caramel ice cream topping and allow to melt into the apple mixture.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3n8VFnoc84/Tp-ij02bk9I/AAAAAAAAAcQ/EyZN1s2R5iE/s1600/2011-10-19+21.08.39.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K3n8VFnoc84/Tp-ij02bk9I/AAAAAAAAAcQ/EyZN1s2R5iE/s320/2011-10-19+21.08.39.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Pour apple mixture over chips. <br />
It's that time again for Mom's Crazy Cookie challenge.<br />
<a href="http://momscrazycooking.blogspot.com/p/crazy-cooking-challenge.html"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" src="%20http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k498/Hudgens6/Buttons/CrazyCookingChallengeButton-1.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
For this month I visited the blog of a cute 21 year old guy named Ryan who loves baking and pugs. Check out the original recipe here <a href="http://ryansbakingblog.com/2011/01/brown-butter-chocolate-chip-cookies/">http://ryansbakingblog.com/2011/01/brown-butter-chocolate-chip-cookies/</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I decided to make Brown Butter Chocolate Cookies to try something a little different. I changed Ryan's recipe a little. These have a tendency to dry out/ over cook quickly so watch them. But over all they have a delicious toffee essence and are worth the extra work they take.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6hm7wni0qT8/To8ZG8C8T9I/AAAAAAAAAbM/JFPJCFhQaMA/s1600/2011-10-06+22.18.05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6hm7wni0qT8/To8ZG8C8T9I/AAAAAAAAAbM/JFPJCFhQaMA/s320/2011-10-06+22.18.05.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><big><big><b>Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies</b></big></big><br />
<small></small><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">Makes about 3 dozen cookies ( or if you're me.... 20 cookies : ) I like mine bigger)</div><div></div><div style="text-align: center;">1 3/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour<br />
1/2 teaspoon baking soda<br />
1 3/4 sticks unsalted butter, divided<br />
1/2 cup granulated sugar<br />
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar<br />
1 teaspoon table salt<br />
2 teaspoons vanilla extract<br />
1 large egg, plus 1 egg yolk<br />
1/2 bag dark chocolate chip cookies</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with a silpat or parchment paper.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sift together flour and baking soda in a bowl, set aside.</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">In a skillet, melt 1 1/4 sticks butter over medium high heat. Continue to cook until the butter turns dark golden brown and has a nutty aroma. The butter will bubble and boil before starting to change colors, keep a close eye so it doesn’t burn and swirl pan occasionally to ensure even cooking.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L5Z_4BGfMVI/To8ZrvjdhwI/AAAAAAAAAbk/Ym683tjh-30/s1600/2011-10-06+21.03.24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L5Z_4BGfMVI/To8ZrvjdhwI/AAAAAAAAAbk/Ym683tjh-30/s320/2011-10-06+21.03.24.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">Transfer browned butter to a bowl and mix in the remaining butter until melted. Add the sugars, salt, and vanilla to the butter and mix well. Add the egg and egg yolk; whisking until smooth (about 30 seconds). Allow the mixture to rest for 3 minutes, then whisk against for 30 seconds, before letting it rest again. Repeat this process about 4 times, until you have a thick, glossy, smooth mixture.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

I decided to make individual Peanut Butter Brownie Cheesecakes. This is the recipe for what I concocted but you can adjust to your taste.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DT7EmFL519Q/ToMzOcQ2TxI/AAAAAAAAAbA/5MHxjwMYKcc/s1600/2011-09-27+20.02.20.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DT7EmFL519Q/ToMzOcQ2TxI/AAAAAAAAAbA/5MHxjwMYKcc/s320/2011-09-27+20.02.20.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">This recipe makes enough for 4 ramekins and a little extra of the brownie cookie.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I started by taking a box of brownie mix (one that makes an 8x8 or 9x9 pan) I followed the directions EXCEPT i did not add water. This makes more of a cookie version that a thick brownie.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Add brownie mixture to the bottom of the ramekin (probably 1/4cup) no need to grease ramekins these are oily enough.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7KxqWHsKW6w/ToMzMDJtteI/AAAAAAAAAa8/IfNo2bMSmrg/s1600/2011-09-27+20.08.37.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7KxqWHsKW6w/ToMzMDJtteI/AAAAAAAAAa8/IfNo2bMSmrg/s320/2011-09-27+20.08.37.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Combine 8oz softened cream cheese</div><div style="text-align: center;">1/2 cup peanut butter</div><div style="text-align: center;">2 Tbs of Honey</div><div style="text-align: center;">1/8 cup powdered sugar</div><div style="text-align: center;">1 egg</div><div style="text-align: center;"> 1 tsp vanilla</div><div style="text-align: center;">Mix thoroughly and pour over unbaked brownie crust.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NNkVXkg5AJA/ToMzIKWZA7I/AAAAAAAAAa0/ONiwLZ70IrM/s1600/2011-09-27+20.47.24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NNkVXkg5AJA/ToMzIKWZA7I/AAAAAAAAAa0/ONiwLZ70IrM/s320/2011-09-27+20.47.24.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dvw2HM_WBFE/ToMzJ8kzBhI/AAAAAAAAAa4/woi7-nmqtvQ/s1600/2011-09-27+20.19.05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
I baked these for 28 min @ 325*</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">You can probably try a water bath to make sure they don't crack.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Place in Fridge until completely chilled and set up. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">To Remove run knife around side of ramekin and the cheesecake should slide out.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J7DdmXMjtmE/ToMy_xKMSRI/AAAAAAAAAak/GXUzNUwYNyA/s1600/2011-09-27+21.23.11.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
